Internal Event Bookings At The Globe and Mail Centre
INTERNALLY PRODUCED EVENTS ONLY
To qualify events must be produced (paid for) and managed/coordinated by a Globe and Mail staff member.
Please contact Luis at lcabrera@globeandmail.com to place a hold on a date for an upcoming Globe event.
FOR OTHER TYPES PARTNERSHIP/SPONSORSHIP/THIRD PARTY CLIENTS
If the event will be paid for directly and produced/managed by ANYONE who does not work for the Globe and Mail, its a third-party rental, and regular corporate rental rates apply.
You cannot "give" a third party group access to the special internal rates as part of sponsorship or other arrangement. These become rental agreements with the third party clients, and regular rates will apply. Should you wish to make it more affordable for them to use the space, we can charge back portions of their costs should you wish to help cover the expenses.

2021 Globe Event Pricing
We have special pricing and packages for smaller internal bookings for 2021.
Starting in April 2022, regular pricing will apply (see below).
Full Day
Recording / Hybrid / In Person Event
- Up to 12 hours of venue access.
- A/V, Staffing and Beverages charged back at cost.
Morning
Recording / Hybrid / In Person Event
- Up to 8 hours of venue acccess, done by 3 pm.
- A/V, Staffing and Beverages chargedback at cost

Dates with holds can be challenged if you are ready to sign and contract and pay a deposit.
The client with a hold will have 48 hours to confirm or release the date to you.

What are the deposit and cancellation policies?
Your Contract will outline a few terms regarding charges and cancellations.
We can summarize some key points:
- You are charged back after your event based on
- Applicable Globe Venue Rate
- Actual cost for A/V Services, staffing, and beverages
- If you cancel your event after having confirmed the date (and the Globe Event Centre has declined other business because you locked in), it will get recorded and reported on. Please please don't do this.
